Position: Medical Assistant
 Location: Southern Cancer Center at Springhill Hospital, Mobile, AL
 Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift

Are you passionate about patient care and looking to make a meaningful impact in oncology? Southern Cancer Center is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support our clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative, patient-focused environment where your skills and compassion truly matter.

 Scope of Role

As a Medical Assistant, you’ll work under direct supervision to assist physicians and clinicians with patient care duties, promote efficient patient flow, and perform essential clinic support tasks. You’ll be a key part of our mission to deliver exceptional care to every patient, every day.


Responsibilities

 Key Responsibilities

  • Escort patients to exam rooms and treatment areas
  • Record vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication updates
  • Prepare and stock exam rooms; order supplies as needed
  • Assist with exams and procedures
  • Administer injections (subcutaneous/intramuscular) as delegated
  • Maintain room disinfection protocols
  • Answer patient calls and relay messages to clinical staff
  • Phone in prescriptions and follow up with patients

Support administrative tasks: scheduling, chart prep, filing, and reception
