Join our Pediatrics team in Kennebunk as a Medical Assistant!
MaineHealth Pediatrics in Kennebunk is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented
Medical Assistant to join our busy outpatient pediatric practice. This is a great opportunity to work with a collaborative team dedicated to providing exceptional care to children and families in our community.
In this role, you will support providers with both clinical and administrative duties, including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs and medical histories, preparing exam rooms, assisting with procedures, administering vaccines, and coordinating patient care. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: High School diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following requirements: Graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis).
- License/Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, NCCT, or NREMT certification preferred or achieved within one year of eligibility. (Prior to 5/01/25 MA IIs with 10 years MA experience and employed by MaineHealth as a MA in the most recent 5 years are exempt from certification requirement) Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Fully remote care team members are exempt from BLS certification requirement. A NH Med Tech License, or NH EMT and National Registry EMT license is required for those positions located in New Hampshire.
- Experience: One year of experience as a Medical Assistant (without certification) or as a MaineHealth Clinical Team Assistant; or 6 months of experience as a certified Medical Assistant.

The base range is an estimate and does not reflect the full value of our total compensation package.
The pay range for this position is $21.09 to $27.12 per hour.
Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
