Summary:

Humanitary Medical Center is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant. The Medical Assistant plays a critical role in supporting healthcare providers by ensuring smooth and efficient clinical operations.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs, medical histories, and recording symptoms.
  • Assist healthcare providers during examinations and minor procedures by handling instruments and supplies.
  • Manage patient records accurately, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Schedule patient appointments, follow up on referrals, and coordinate communication between patients and medical staff.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests, administer medications as directed, and maintain clinical equipment and supplies.
  • All other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2+ years of experience within the healthcare medical center industry.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems. preferably MD Vita.
  • Previous experience working in a clinical setting, preferably in a primary care or community health environment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
  • Bilingual abilities, especially in Spanish, to better serve the local community.
