What types of responsibilities can I expect during my training or externship as a medical assistant student?

As a Medical Assistant Student, your training or externship will typically involve assisting with basic patient care tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing exam rooms, and updating patient records under supervision. You may also be exposed to administrative duties, like scheduling appointments or handling insurance forms, to gain a well-rounded understanding of both clinical and front-office workflows. These responsibilities are designed to prepare you for the diverse tasks of a full-fledged Medical Assistant.
