Medical Assistant

The County of Riverside's University Health System (RUHS) - Community Health Clinics are currently seeking qualified Medical Assistants throughout the County of Riverside for various departments. This job posting will serve to fill regular full-time and per-diem vacancies. This posting will remain open as vacancies arise, serving as an opportunity for prospective candidates to apply for available positions. Positions designated as bilingual (Spanish) recruitments require demonstrated proficiency. Candidates requesting consideration for bilingual recruitment must successfully complete and pass a County-administered bilingual proficiency assessment. Once submitted, applications will remain valid for a duration of 90 days. Should an application expire, individuals are welcome to reapply. Applicants may indicate their employment preference type and preferred location/clinic in their application. Joining a pool recruitment allows your application to be considered for current and upcoming vacancies throughout Riverside County. Staffing demand in the Desert Region (Palm Springs, Palm Desert, Indio and surrounding cities). Applicants from this posting may be used to fill other openings throughout RUHS departments.

Under direct supervision, Medical Assistants assist licensed professional medical staff within the Riverside University Health System (RUHS) by providing a variety of client/patient services, including basic administrative, clerical, and medical support services for clients/patients and the public; and other related duties as required. Possession of a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
