2 Temporary-to-Hire F/T Certified Medical Assistants Needed, North Chicago, IL

Our client, a busy Healthcare Clinic located in North Chicago, Illinois, is currently looking to hire two temporary-to-hire full-time Certified Medical Assistants. You will be supporting the clinical team and ensuring efficient, high-quality patient care.

These are temporary-to-hire full-time Medical Assistant Positions working Monday-Friday (8:00am to 5:00pm) for a total of 40 hours per week.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in direct patient care, including vital signs, rooming patients, administering vaccines, drawing blood, and preparing patients for exams and procedures.
  • Support clinicians with minor procedures, specimen collection, and documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Educate patients on health maintenance, chronic disease management, and preventive care under the direction of clinicians.
  • Ensure exam rooms are stocked and maintained, managing clinical supplies and inventory.
  • Manage vaccine inventory.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and complete patient records, ensuring all clinical documentation is completed in a timely manner.

Job Requirements

  • At least 2 years of recent Medical Assistant experience is required.
  • High School Diploma
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is preferred.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Strong clinical skills in patient care, specimen collection, and clinical procedures.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Microsoft Office applications.
