Job description

Job Title: Medical Assistant
Company's Basic Information

Role Summary
Our client is seeking Certified Medical Assistant with a high level of patient care. If you are not certified, must be willing to obtain certification with 90 days of hire date. You will work under the direct supervision of the Practice Manager and direct oversight of the provider(s) to assist with patient assessment and care, maintaining appropriate documentation, maintaining clinical areas and performing all clinical procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Complete nursing assessments appropriate to chief complaint including vital signs and any additional measurements indicated by condition or age, like height, weight, head circumference, allergies, etc.
• Review patients' medications and update documents as needed.
• Provide exceptional patient care by describing visit and applicable procedures.
• Assist physician with procedures as directed.
• Work with other staff to maintain a collaborative environment.
• Telephone prescriptions to pharmacies.
• Ensure patient forms are completed and EMR updated.
Qualifications and Skills
• Completion of Medical Assistant program and be credentialed through the AAMA as a CMA, through the AMT as an RMA, through the NHA as a CCMA, or through the NCCT as a NCMA is required.
• Recent graduates may be considered prior to credentialing but MUST obtain within 90 days of hire date.
• Must have current BLS certification.
