General Description: This internship provides students with direct This internship provides hands-on exposure to project engineering, project management, validation activities, quality management systems, metrology, ERP systems, and customer-related engineering documentation. The intern will work alongside experienced engineering professionals and gain practical experience supporting projects for medical devices and other highly technical customers.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Support Project Engineers with planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects.
  • Assist with tracking project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and action items.
  • Support validation activities, including documentation, data collection, testing coordination, and completion of validation-related tasks.
  • Organize, review, and maintain project engineering and customer-related technical documentation.
  • Assist with internal cross-functional communication and coordination among Engineering, Quality, Production, and other departments.
  • Analyze project and validation data using Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools.
  • Support preparation and review of project status reports, presentations, and technical documentation.
  • Assist with project activities related to medical device and other customer programs.
  • Gain exposure to metrology, Quality Management System documentation, project management tools, and ERP systems.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities related to project execution and engineering processes.

Support additional project-based engineering assignments based on business and learning needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor?s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Senior-level student preferred; qualified Juniors may also be considered.
  • Preferred GPA of 3.2 or higher.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Exposure to Minitab or statistical/data analysis tools is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Initiative and willingness to learn in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
