Job description

Genesis Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is seeking motivated graduated students for the Gap Year Medical Assistant Intern position. This opportunity is designed for individuals interested in pursuing a career in the medical or healthcare sector and wish to gain practical experience before continuing their education in professional healthcare programs.

As a Gap Year Medical Assistant Intern, you will engage in a comprehensive, hands-on learning experience that encompasses both clinical and administrative functions. Responsibilities include patient education, rooming patients, collecting medical histories, assisting with physical exams, learning billing processes, and performing various administrative tasks. You will also have the unique opportunity to shadow our skilled clinical team during surgical procedures and receive valuable mentorship.

This is a full-time, paid internship, and positions may be available for a commitment of 18-24 months.
