JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provides patient care in the office setting. Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care to patients of all ages and populations; meets the communication needs of patients and families; and demonstrates initiative, responsibility, and professionalism under the supervision of a Licensed Independent Practitioner. Performs duties as assigned/delegated by other clinical support staff within the office. Adheres to regulatory requirements, clinical and office policies, procedures, and standards. Communicates with physicians and team members regarding patients' clinical conditions, including diagnostic study results and symptomatology.
In addition to clinical responsibilities, supports daily practice operations by assisting with general office procedures and providing front desk coverage as needed, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, patient check-in/check-out, and other receptionist duties to ensure an exceptional patient experience and efficient office workflow.
EDUCATION:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Current BLS certification or ability to obtain upon hire.

EXPERIENCE:
  • Up to one year of experience in a medical setting with certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent training and/or experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and customer service skills.
  • Ability to balance clinical responsibilities with administrative and front office support duties.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing medical situations.
  • Ability to stand/walk for up to eight hours per day; bend, stoop, twist; assist patients with turning and positioning; assist patients in arising from exam tables; push wheelchair patients; and assist patients in transferring to and from wheelchairs.
