Job description

We are looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team and provide primary care services to our patients in a small suburban private practice. The candidate should be a high school graduate and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. New grads welcome—we provide hands-on training for motivated candidates! We prefer a certificate from an accredited medical assistant program. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to grow their career in the medical field.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians with patient care.
  • Telephonic tasks such as basic triage, scheduling appointments, refilling prescriptions, faxing documents, and taking detailed messages.
  • Documentation in electronic medical record (CareTracker).
  • Prepare patients for examinations and treatments.
  • Provide assistance with primary care services such as immunizations, wound care, and education.
  • Assist with internal medicine procedures such as administering injections, performing ECGs, and taking vital signs.
  • Stocking exam rooms.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
