Job description

Job Summary
Reports to the Practice Manager and works under the direct supervision of the Physician(s). The Medical Assistant is responsible for patient preparation and providing clinical and administrative support to the Physician(s), ensuring efficient patient care and medical office operations.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a Medical Assistant course preferred.
Experience
Two to four years of relevant work experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical office setting preferred.
Licensure and/or Certification
State Certification preferred but not required.
Skills
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and moderate keyboarding skills required.
Knowledge of GE Centricity and MEDITECH preferred for accessing and utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
