About the Job
We are looking for a compassionate and adaptable PRN Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support within a Health Center setting on an as-needed basis.
In this role, you'll assist providers with patient care, support day-to-day clinic operations, and help create a seamless and welcoming patient experience. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys flexibility, works well independently, and thrives in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.
The ideal candidate is dependable, service-oriented, and comfortable adapting to changing clinic and staffing needs.
What You'll Do
  • Greet and room patients while creating a positive patient experience
  • Measure and document vital signs, patient history, and clinical information
  • Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during patient visits
  • Perform phlebotomy and collect blood and urine samples
  • Support front office and administrative clinic functions as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow clinical protocols and workflows
  • Deliver concierge-level customer service and compassionate patient care
  • Exercise sound clinical judgment within scope of role
  • Provide coverage support based on clinic and staffing needs

What You'll Bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • One of the following qualifications:
    • Completion of a formal Medical Assistant program with diploma/certificate and at least 2 years of recent Medical Assistant experience
    • Minimum 3 years of recent Medical Assistant experience obtained through on-the-job training
    • Relevant military medic experience
  • Strong patient care, communication, and customer service skills
  • Phlebotomy experience preferred
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Flexibility to support varying clinic schedules and staffing needs
