Job description

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient care, medical procedures, and administrative support within diverse clinical settings. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient services across outpatient clinics, hospital environments, and specialized units such as dermatology, emergency medicine, or geriatrics. The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring smooth clinical operations while delivering compassionate care to patients.
Please Note:
This position requires specific MA or PCT training. We are not considering CNA applicants at this time.
Duties:
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately.
  • Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates with precision.
  • Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments to uphold strict infection control standards.
  • Support physicians and nurses during procedures, including medication administration and basic life support when necessary.
  • Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems efficiently, ensuring accurate documentation of patient information and ICD coding for diagnoses.
  • Assist with diagnostic procedures such as X-ray imaging or other outpatient testing under supervision.
  • Coordinate patient flow within the clinic or hospital setting, ensuring timely appointments and follow-up care.
  • Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, explaining procedures clearly, and demonstrating empathy throughout the care process.

Candidate Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must meet one of the following criteria:
  • Medical Assistant Certification: Current CMA, RMA, NCMA, or CCMA.
  • PCT Certification: Current Patient Care Technician certification (CPCT/A).
  • Experience: At least one year of verifiable experience working specifically as a Medical Assistant in a clinical or outpatient setting.
