Responsible for assisting physicians with patient care, clerical, environmental and organization tasks. Responsible for appointment scheduling and chart management. Provides Information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinic services. Conveys a positive image of organization.
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Graduate of an accredited school for Medical Assistants, Surgical Technologists, or one year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician clinic setting
2. Current BLS certification upon hire and maintained current
3. Current medical assistant credential from a nationally recognized Medical Assistant Credentialing organization required
4. 1 year experience as a medical assistant in a clinic setting, preferred
