What jobs were allowed to work during COVID?

During COVID-19, essential healthcare roles such as medical assistants, nurses, and doctors were permitted to work, often with additional safety protocols like PPE and social distancing. Many healthcare workers continued working in hospitals, clinics, and testing sites to support public health efforts. Non-essential jobs were often restricted or shifted to remote work, but healthcare roles remained critical and operational throughout the pandemic.

How does a Medical Assistant Covid role differ from traditional medical assistant positions in terms of daily responsibilities and collaboration?

A Medical Assistant Covid role often involves additional responsibilities such as conducting COVID-19 screenings, administering tests, monitoring infection control protocols, and assisting with vaccination clinics. You will work closely with both clinical staff and public health teams to ensure safety and compliance with evolving guidelines. Collaboration with nurses, physicians, and sometimes external agencies is frequent, and adapting to rapidly changing procedures is essential. This role may also include more use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and increased patient interaction related to COVID-19 education and support.

Which jobs were most affected by COVID?

Healthcare jobs, including medical assistants, were significantly impacted by COVID-19, with increased demand for frontline workers and changes in healthcare protocols.
