STATEMENT OF WORK
SPORTS & ACTIVITIES ASSISTANT
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Sports & Activities Assistant may provide general support in various sports and activity related functions, contributing to smooth and efficient daily operations. Activities can include any school sponsored event that may not be outlined below. Assigned sports and activity functions may include any combination of the below duties and responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Scoreboard Management:
  • Operate and update scoreboards during games.
  • Ensure accurate and timely display of scores and other relevant information.
  • Troubleshoot any technical issues with the scoreboard equipment.

Ticket Handling:
  • Assist with the sale and distribution of tickets before and during the event.
  • Manage ticket booths and ensure efficient service to attendees.
  • Verify tickets at entry points and maintain orderly access to the venue.

General Game Operations Support:
  • Provide assistance to event coordinators and referees as needed.
  • Help set up and dismantle equipment and facilities before and after games.
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of attendees by addressing any immediate concerns.
  • Support crowd control and maintain a positive environment during events.
  • Assist with basic first aid or medical support as needed under the direction of the Athletic Director or Head Coach

Support for Coaches and Athletes:
  • Assist with relaying information between coaches, players, and other staff members.
  • Help players find their uniforms, water, or other needed supplies.
  • Provide general assistance with any tasks that the coaches or athletic staff may need.

Activity Support:
  • Organize and be of service to academic competitions.
  • Act as a point of contact and support to Student Clubs on campus.
  • Assists band, choral, and orchestra rehearsals and performances.
  • Provide help to class advisors and support class-specific events.
  • Assist Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter activities, including competitions and conferences.
  • Organize practice sessions and competitions for the forensics team.
  • Assist in the production of the literary magazine, student newspaper and school yearbook.
  • Coordinate events and manage equipment for the pep club.
  • Assist with the scholarship application and selection process.
  • Support instructors with lessons and performances and students with government activities and meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Previous experience in event management or sports operations is preferred.
