What is medical aesthetics?

Medical aesthetics refers to a branch of medicine focused on improving cosmetic appearance through non-surgical and minimally invasive procedures. Treatments often include Botox, dermal fillers, laser therapy, chemical peels, and skin rejuvenation techniques. Professionals in this field, such as doctors, nurses, or licensed aestheticians, aim to enhance patients' physical appearance while maintaining their safety and well-being. Medical aesthetics blends medical expertise with artistry to achieve natural-looking results and boost patients' confidence.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a medical aesthetics professional?

To thrive in Medical Aesthetics, you need a background in nursing, dermatology, or a related healthcare field, typically with appropriate licensure and specialized training in aesthetic procedures. Familiarity with tools and technologies such as lasers, injectables, and skin care devices, as well as certifications from recognized aesthetic institutions, is crucial. Excellent communication, attention to detail, and a strong sense of empathy help build trust and deliver personalized treatment plans. These skills ensure safe, effective procedures and foster strong client satisfaction in a competitive, client-focused industry.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals in medical aesthetics, and how can they be addressed?

Professionals in medical aesthetics often encounter challenges such as staying updated with rapidly evolving technologies, managing patient expectations, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Keeping up with the latest treatment techniques and equipment requires ongoing education and training. Additionally, effective communication is essential to help clients understand realistic outcomes and post-procedure care. Building strong relationships with colleagues, such as dermatologists and nurses, can provide valuable support and knowledge sharing within the team.

Job description

About Boston Aesthetics

Boston Aesthetics is powered by Peninsula Medical Group (PMG), a global leader in energy-based medical aesthetics with deep capabilities across innovation, engineering, manufacturing, and commercialization.

We are building a high-performance U.S. organization to bring differentiated aesthetic technologies to market. Guided by our mission, Beauty With No Boundaries, we believe the future of aesthetics should deliver more than strong clinical outcomes alone. It should also create lasting value for providers, support sustainable practice growth, and improve the treatment experience for patients.

Backed by strong global R&D capabilities and a robust product pipeline, Boston Aesthetics offers the opportunity to help scale not just one innovative platform, but a broader portfolio of next-generation technologies. As we enter our next phase of commercial growth, we are looking for entrepreneurial leaders who want to help build the future of aesthetics in the U.S.

Position Summary

Boston Aesthetics is seeking multiple Capital Sales Reps to own and grow individual territories across the U.S. These are quota-carrying individual contributor roles responsible for building pipeline, managing the full sales cycle, and driving capital equipment growth within assigned markets.

This role is ideal for proactive, consultative sellers who are comfortable developing new business, engaging physicians, practice owners, and medspa providers, and translating clinical and commercial value into a compelling business case. Success in this position requires strong territory ownership, disciplined execution, and the ability to perform in a fast-moving, growth-stage environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Generate and qualify leads through proactive cold calling, in-person prospecting, territory networking, and industry events, with strong ownership of pipeline development.
  • Own the full capital sales cycle independently: from initial discovery and needs assessment through on-site product demonstration, clinical education, ROI presentation, and contract close.
  • Conduct consultative business conversations with physicians, practice owners, and medspa providers— quantifying return on investment, modeling treatment volume economics, and positioning capital acquisition within the financial context of each practice.
  • Maintain a disciplined pipeline within Boston Aesthetics’ sales systems, deliver accurate weekly and monthly forecasts, and develop strategic territory plans that support consistent achievement of quarterly and annual quota.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of capital equipment sales or other consultative B2B sales experience, preferably in aesthetics, medical device, cash-pay healthcare, or related markets.
  • Demonstrated track record of strong quota attainment and sales performance; top-performer recognition such as President’s Club is strongly preferred.

• Strong new business development instincts, with a proactive approach to prospecting, cold calling, and territory development.

• Ability to build and manage opportunities across clinical users, business owners, and financial decision-makers using a clear ROI and value-based sales approach.

• Experience selling into dermatology, plastic surgery, medspa, or other private-practice environments is a plus. Existing territory relationships are advantageous but not required.

• Comfort using CRM, data, and modern sales tools to prioritize accounts and improve execution; familiarity with AI-enabled tools is a plus.

Why Join Boston Aesthetics

  • Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission with tiered accelerators above quota
  • Backed by a proven global operator with strong R&D, manufacturing, and product pipeline capabilities
  • Opportunity to join during an early phase of U.S. commercial expansion and help shape territory growth
  • Exposure to a broader future portfolio of next-generation technologies, not just a single platform

Location
Multiple openings across U.S. regions; location is flexible based on business needs and candidate fit.

Boston Aesthetics is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace.
