Media Strategy Manager
We're looking for an experienced strategic media professional to join a Global Media Team, an in-house organization of media experts responsible for media strategy and execution stewardship for a consumer technology and hardware business.
In this role, the ideal candidate will be responsible for development of media strategies and integrated channel plans for AI wearable technology products. They will partner deeply with internal stakeholders across Brand Marketing, Brand Strategy, Decision Science, Product Growth, Insights, and Creative, as well as external media agencies, to devise and execute campaigns that deliver the brand narrative through effective and innovative paid media strategies.
The right candidate is passionate about understanding audiences from the inside out and leveraging this knowledge with media expertise to drive effective and disruptive strategies that influence action. They will be responsible for building strong partnerships with colleagues and effectively collaborating in a highly matrixed organization model while translating business and marketing goals into successful, integrated, data-driven programs.
The right person can both stretch up to lead and intuitively roll up their sleeves to be hands-on. We are looking for someone who is insightful, rigorous, and pushes for smarter and more effective work.
Responsibilities
  • Develop measurable media strategies and plans grounded in objectives and audience insights to deliver innovation and business outcomes
  • Leverage quantitative and qualitative insights from research and analysis to establish best practices and influence media, measurement, and audience strategies while informing tactical planning, execution, and optimization
  • Maximize relationships and drive influence with cross-functional partners across brand management, creative, growth, decision science, finance, insights, PR, and partnerships teams as the media subject matter expert to develop impactful, integrated work
  • Manage multiple media workstreams and deliverables to ensure flawless campaign planning and execution
  • Partner with external media agencies to drive cohesive media planning and execution across key markets
  • Effectively analyze campaign performance against goals for ongoing reporting and leadership visibility
  • Establish operational best practices around plan development, media investment management, systems and tools, and streamlined measurement

Minimum Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience managing and executing large-scale consumer campaigns and long-term brand building through an integrated media mix
  • Proven track record building relationships, navigating cross-functional teams, and presenting to stakeholders
  • Proven experience working both strategically and executionally to build and deploy optimization strategies and learning roadmaps
  • Proven experience managing agency partners related to budget, campaign structure, and optimization
  • Proven experience structuring ongoing media learning agendas to improve campaign performance iteratively
  • Passion for experimenting with new media approaches to tackle business challenges and priorities, with a heavy emphasis on digital, social, and influencer marketing

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within both agency and client-side organizations
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Experience partnering directly with creative teams to integrate creative ideas and strategy with media strategy and channel selection
  • Experience working directly with data science and/or analytics teams to integrate media strategy and channel selection with measurement frameworks and learning agendas
  • Scrappy, resourceful, action-oriented, and detail-oriented with a strong ownership mindset and focus on delivering measurable impact
