Job description

AMDA College of the Performing Arts is seeking dependable and detail-oriented students to join the Classroom Media & Film Production team for the Fall 2026 semester.

Student Workers play an important role in supporting academic operations while serving as professional members of the AMDA community. This position offers hands-on experience in camera operation, audiovisual support, and educational technology in a classroom and performance setting.

Position Overview

The Classroom Media & Film Production Student Worker supports film classes, master classes, graduation performances, and other academic events requiring camera and AV support. This role reports to the Classroom Media & Film Production leadership team and requires strong technical skills, organization, and reliability.

Work schedules may include daytime classes, evening courses, and weekend events.

Must be available for training on Saturday, October 24th.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and break down camera and AV equipment
Operate cameras during film classes, master classes, performances, and special events
Transfer and upload footage from classes and events
Take responsibility for the safety and proper return of AMDA property
Provide quality control of educational technology
Provide and change hardware for educational purposes
Troubleshoot day-to-day technical issues
Provide on-the-ground support for the AV team
Support management of the Mac Lab (assist students, troubleshoot needs, maintain organization and cleanliness)
Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Currently enrolled AMDA student for the Summer 2026 semester (employment in this department is open to 2nd- 6thsemester students)

Minimum 3.0 GPA
Strong technology skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work as part of a team
Professional, reliable, and responsive

Employment Details

Must be enrolled for the Fall 2026 semester
Student employees are paid minimum wage in accordance with applicable state and local law
Work schedules may include daytime, evening, and weekend assignments
Must be available for training on Saturday, October 24th

Student Worker positions are hired on a semester-to-semester basis and continued employment is not guaranteed beyond the current term
