General Description:

The Social Media Intern supports Juneau's social media presence by helping create engaging content that showcases our people, projects, and culture. Working closely with the Brand Strategy Manager, this role provides hands-on experience in content creation and social media management while developing an understanding of brand storytelling and the construction industry. The ideal candidate is creative, curious, organized, and eager to learn about social media strategy and content development.

Position Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing abachelor's degree in marketing,communications,publicrelations or a related field
  • Strong interest in social media marketing, digital marketing, and content creation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok and emerging social media platforms
  • Experience creating content for personal, school, campus organization, or professional social media accounts
  • Basic design and short-form videoediting skills (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva,CapCut,or similar)
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for creativity and brand integrity
  • Willingness to learn social media, digital marketing best practices, and about the construction industry

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Write engaging social media captions that align with Juneau's brand voice.
  • Create short-form videostoshowcase Juneau's values.
  • Assistwith building andmaintaining Juneau's content calendar.
  • Monitor social media trends andidentifyrelevantopportunities for Juneau toparticipate.
  • Brainstorm and research ideas for originalcontent and trending topics.
  • Monitor and respond tocomments, direct messages, and mentions.
  • Trackand report on social media performance metricsand results andidentifies opportunities to improve engagement
  • Help ensure consistency of Juneau's brand messaging and visual identity across all social platforms.

Job Expectations

  • Position may require extended periods of time sitting and/or standing, talking both in person and over technological avenues,lifting up to 20 lbs. as needed.
