About the Role
We are seeking a Media Planner/Buyer with expertise in both traditional and digital channels to join our Phoenix team. This hybrid role serves as the day-to-day point of contact for assigned accounts, overseeing strategy, planning, negotiation, and performance across multiple media types. You’ll be responsible for understanding each client’s business objectives, translating them into strategic media recommendations, and ensuring flawless campaign execution.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute integrated media strategies across television, radio, out-of-home, digital, and social platforms
- Lead the end-to-end media planning process, from research and budgeting to partner negotiations and performance analysis
- Create and manage media plans, flowcharts, buy authorizations, and budget summaries
- Collaborate with clients to define objectives, KPIs, and campaign goals
- Use tools such as MRI Simmons, Kantar/Vivvix, Scarborough, and SQAD to inform strategic recommendations
- Oversee billing, vendor invoices, and budget reconciliation in partnership with accounting
- Evaluate new media types, vendors, and technologies; write POVs and make recommendations to leadership
- Manage vendor relationships and field media proposals across multiple accounts
- Contribute to team discussions, sharing insights and ideas that enhance client performance
- Present media strategies and campaign results to clients with clarity and confidence
What You Bring
- 2-5 years of media planning and buying experience in an agency environment
- Strong knowledge of traditional and digital media channels, including programmatic
- Experience in developing and executing strategic media recommendations
- Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Business, or related field
- Proficiency in Google Suite; experience with Advantage software preferred
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple client projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative team player
