Position Summary

This role owns the day-to‑day social media presence of the brand, turning venues, guests, and culture into content that builds awareness, engagement, and demand. The Social Media Manager is responsible for content planning, community management, creator partnerships, and social storytelling across owned channels. Reporting to the Director of Brand Marketing, this role partners closely with Creative, Field Marketing, Operations, and venue teams to bring the brand to life in ways that guests want to watch, share, and engage with.

This is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at Puttshack's headquarters in Chicago (River North) with the expectation of travel as needed to support business operations and expansion activities.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
  • Social Content Strategy Develop and execute the social media content calendar across all major platforms. Create a consistent stream of content that reflects the brand, supports business priorities, and drives engagement.
  • Content Production & Creation Capture, film, and edit content across formats including video (short‑form and long‑form), photography, graphics, and Stories that showcase venue energy, guest experiences, and cultural moments.
  • Community Management Manage the brand's social communities by monitoring comments, messages, and conversations. Engage with guests in a timely and authentic manner while protecting brand standards.
  • Creator and Influencer Partnerships In collaboration with the PR lead, support the identification, coordination, and execution of creator and influencer collaborations. Help expand reach and generate authentic content through strategic partnerships.
  • Venue Storytelling Work closely with venue teams to surface local stories, events, guest experiences, and team member content that can be amplified across brand channels.
  • Social Listening and Trends Monitor platform trends, emerging formats, and cultural moments. Identify opportunities for the brand to participate in relevant conversations and stay culturally connected.
  • Performance Measurement Track content performance and audience engagement across platforms. Translate insights into recommendations that improve reach, engagement, and content effectiveness.
  • Cross‑Functional Partnership Partner with Brand, Creative, Field Marketing, Operations, and agency partners to ensure social content aligns with broader marketing initiatives and business objectives.
  • Flexible Availability (As Needed) Maintain flexible hours to capture content during peak guest experiences, including evenings, weekends, and special events. Be available on‑site at venues to film live moments, activations, and community events that bring the brand to life.
Required Skills and Experience
  • 4–6 years of experience in social media, content marketing, digital marketing, or a related field, ideally within hospitality, entertainment, lifestyle, retail, or consumer brands.
  • Demonstrated success growing brand engagement and audience presence across social platforms.
  • Strong content instincts and an understanding of what performs across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and emerging channels.
  • Experience managing content calendars, creator relationships, and community engagement programs.
  • Comfortable analyzing performance metrics and using insights to optimize content strategy.
  • Excellent written and visual storytelling skills with a strong attention to brand voice.
  • Highly organized, collaborative, and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Passion for culture, trends, and creating content that people genuinely want to engage with and share.
