Modern Climate is a full-service marketing company with a modern twist. We combine fresh thinking and creativity with technology, data, and demand-generation strategies to help brands stand up and stand out in a rapidly changing marketing landscape.
The Opportunity

Modern Climate is seeking a Media Supervisor who brings strategic perspective, hands-on platform fluency, and a passion for helping brands matter. This role leads integrated media planning and activation across paid search, paid social, programmatic and display, CTV and online video, and traditional media, while exploring emerging channels and responsible uses of AI.
As a player-coach, the Media Supervisor owns day-to-day client relationships, guides and develops team members, manages budgets and forecasts, and remains close enough to campaign execution to identify opportunities, solve problems, and raise the quality of the work. The ideal candidate is curious, collaborative, accountable, and comfortable bringing a clear point of view to clients and internal teams.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the development of audience-first, cross-channel media strategies that connect client business objectives to clear communications goals, channel roles, investment levels, and measurable outcomes.
  • Translate research, audience insights, competitive intelligence, and performance data into actionable media recommendations.
  • Build integrated plans across paid search, paid social, programmatic and display, CTV and online video, and traditional media; identify relevant opportunities in emerging channels.
  • Establish testing roadmaps and learning agendas that improve performance and deepen understanding of audiences, creative, channels, and customer journeys.
Campaign Leadership amp; Optimization
  • Oversee campaign setup, launch, pacing, optimization, and quality assurance while contributing hands-on in platforms when the work or team requires it.
  • Set channel-specific KPIs, measurement frameworks, and reporting expectations aligned with client goals and available data.
  • Monitor performance and budget pacing, diagnose issues, and turn findings into timely optimization decisions and clear client recommendations.
Client, Financial amp; Partner Management
  • Serve as a trusted day-to-day media lead for assigned clients, setting expectations, communicating proactively, and building confidence through strong strategic and operational counsel.
  • Present media strategies, plans, forecasts, performance results, and recommendations in a clear, persuasive, and audience-appropriate manner.
  • Own media budgets and forecasts, including allocations, pacing, reconciliation oversight, and communication of risks or opportunities.
  • Manage relationships with media vendors and technology partners; evaluate opportunities, negotiate terms and added value, and hold partners accountable for delivery.
Team Leadership
  • Directly manage and mentor media planners through clear priorities, regular feedback, coaching, and development planning.
  • Delegate effectively while maintaining visibility into workload, quality, deadlines, and team well-being.
  • Create an inclusive, collaborative environment that encourages curiosity, strong points of view, experimentation, and continuous learning.
  • Improve team processes, documentation, and quality standards to make the work more consistent, scalable, and efficient.
What You’ll Bring
  • Approximately 5–7 years of progressive experience in media planning, buying, activation, or strategy, including experience leading integrated campaigns and client relationships.
  • Strong working knowledge of paid search and paid social platforms, with regular hands-on experience in tools such as Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager.
  • Experience planning or overseeing programmatic/display, CTV or online video, and traditional media campaigns.
  • Strong command of campaign measurement, reporting, website analytics, budget management, forecasting, and optimization.
  • Ability to turn complex data and platform detail into a concise story, strategic implication, and recommended action.
  • Confident client-facing communication and presentation skills, including the ability to lead difficult conversations and explain tradeoffs.
  • Strong judgment, attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple clients, priorities, and deadlines.
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and a genuine commitment to learning as the media landscape evolves.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, analytics, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with retail media networks or commerce media strategy and activation.
  • Familiarity with ad servers, DSPs, audience/data platforms, brand-lift or incrementality studies, CRM data, or advanced analytics and visualization tools.
  • Experience evaluating and applying emerging media technologies, automation, or AI-supported workflows in an agency or similarly fast-paced environment.
How You’ll Show Up
  • Curious and current — you actively follow shifts in consumer behavior, platforms, privacy, measurement, and technology.
  • Strategic and pragmatic — you connect the big picture to the details required for excellent execution.
  • Accountable — you surface risks early, follow through, and take ownership of outcomes.
  • Generous as a leader — you give clear feedback, share context, and help others do their best work.
  • Persuasive and open-minded — you bring a point of view while welcoming evidence and perspectives that make the work stronger.
