Job description

We are currently looking for a Med Tech to work 7 am - 7 pm, & 7 pm - 7 am, 12 hour shifts.

Job Summary:
The Med Tech is responsible for administering medications and providing direct care to residents while ensuring compliance with facility policies and state regulations. This role reports to the Supervisor and nursing team leader.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications accurately and timely per physician orders.
  • Document medication administration and report side effects or resident condition changes.
  • Maintain medication inventory, notify pharmacy/family for refills, and keep medication areas clean.
  • Follow residents' care plans and facility policies, including safety, infection control, and residents' rights.
  • Assist in training new employees and participate in in-service education programs.
  • Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of resident information.
  • Report all accidents, incidents, or suspected abuse immediately.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • CPR certification.
