Position Overview

Shadow To Light Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated Remote Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our compassionate team. This full-time position offers an opportunity to support clients in their journey towards improved mental well-being while enjoying the benefits of a flexible remote work setting. With a commitment to working Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, this role ensures a balanced approach to both professional ambitions and personal life.

About the Organization

At Shadow To Light Therapy, we pride ourselves on our mission to integrate mental and physical health into a cohesive healthcare experience. Located in Norfolk, Virginia, we strive to provide reliable and personalized mental health services that empower individuals to live their lives to the fullest. Our approach focuses on creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can express themselves openly and work towards their wellness goals.

Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing for greater flexibility and work-life balance. Utilizing advanced telehealth platforms, therapists conduct virtual therapy sessions. This approach not only broadens access to quality mental health care but also ensures that our clients receive the same level of support and care as they would in a traditional outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct virtual therapy sessions to provide emotional support and behavioral health services tailored to individual client needs.
  • Create a warm, welcoming environment that encourages clients to openly discuss their thoughts and feelings.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to establish and track their personal mental health goals through regular check-ins and progress assessments.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that respect the unique experiences and challenges faced by each client.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques and stay updated on best practices in the field of mental health.
  • Document session notes and treatment progress accurately within secure electronic health record systems.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a therapist at Shadow To Light Therapy, you will work with a diverse client population, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and stress management issues. Our holistic approach considers both mental and physical health, allowing practitioners to take a comprehensive view of client care.

Qualifications
  • A masterโ€™s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
  • State licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) is mandatory.
  • Proven experience in individual and group therapy settings, with a focus on treatment planning.
  • Exceptional communication skills, particularly in a virtual context, to ensure clarity and connection with clients.
  • Proficiency in utilizing online platforms for therapy and management of client engagement.
Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of clinical experience is required, candidates with additional certifications in specialized therapeutic methods or experience working in outpatient therapy settings may be preferred. Familiarity with contemporary mental health challenges and trends will also be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role ranges from USD 100,000 to 110,000 annually, reflecting your expertise and commitment to the field. Additional benefits include:

  • A comprehensive health insurance plan that covers medical, dental, and vision needs.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer match to assist in long-term financial planning.
  • Generous paid time off policy and holidays to promote work-life balance.
  • Life insurance coverage for peace of mind.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Shadow To Light Therapy, we are committed to fostering your professional development. Opportunities for ongoing training, supervision, and mentorship are available, along with pathways for career advancement within our organization. We believe in equipping our team with the necessary tools and resources to grow professionally and make a significant impact in the mental health field.
