Job description

Position Summary
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong Creo experience to support the structural and enclosure design of server systems. This role focuses on sheet metal chassis development, detailed part design, and electronics component integration. The position works closely with the server lead and does not require ownership of airflow or thermal architecture.
Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop sheet metal enclosures and structural chassis components for server systems using Creo.
  • Create detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, and complete assembly documentation including BOMs.
  • Perform mechanical integration of electronic components such as CPUs, GPUs, motherboards, power supplies, storage devices, and adapters.
  • Define part interfaces, mounting strategies, tolerance stack-up, and assembly sequences.
  • Support prototype builds, design verification, and engineering change implementation.
  • Perform tolerance analysis and ensure proper fit and alignment of structural components.
  • Collaborate closely with the Server Lead to execute structural design improvements and product updates
  • Ensure designs comply with DFM principles and manufacturing requirements
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for prototype fabrication, tooling feedback, and part qualification
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of enclosure and structural design standards
  • Support production ramp-up and resolve mechanical issues during pilot and early production phases

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in engineering fields related to mechanical disciplines (Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechatronics, Robotics, etc.).
  • Experience designing sheet metal enclosures using Creo.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, sharing pertinent information, providing analysis, and recommendations in support of team efforts.
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin is a plus.
  • 3-6 years of mechanical design experience preferred.
