Job description

Job Title: Mechatronics & Robotics Maintenance Technician

Location: Madison, AL
Pay: $25.15 - 27.15/hour

Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated Mechatronics & Robotics Maintenance Technician's to join our Operations Maintenance team. In this role, you will support the installation, maintenance, and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment. You will work alongside experienced technicians to troubleshoot equipment issues, complete preventive maintenance, and help ensure safe and reliable facility operations.

This is a hands-on position designed for candidates who are building their skills in industrial maintenance, automation, and robotics.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Follow all safety procedures and promote a safe work environment

  • Assist with troubleshooting conveyor systems and other automated equipment

  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks under guidance of senior technicians

  • Support installation and repair of basic electrical and mechanical components such as sensors, motors, switches, and control devices

  • Learn to interpret basic blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams

  • Help complete work orders, including documenting labor, parts used, and repairs performed

  • Support maintenance team in maintaining uptime of critical production equipment

  • Communicate and collaborate with Operations and Maintenance teams

  • Participate in on-the-job training and skill development programs

  • Occasionally lift up to 49 lbs and work on your feet for extended shifts (up to 12 hours, with or without accommodation)

  • Travel up to 20% if required

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

  • 1+ year of experience in maintenance, manufacturing, or a related technical field

  • Basic understanding of mechanical or electrical systems

  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical training, trade school, or vocational coursework in Mechanical or Electrical fields

  • Exposure to industrial maintenance, automation, or conveyor systems

  • Basic knowledge of reading schematics or technical drawings

  • Interest in robotics, mechatronics, or industrial automation

  • Familiarity with safety standards in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience using maintenance tracking or work order systems (CMMS a plus)
