About Flech Paper Products

Flech Paper Products is a growing paper manufacturing and converting company producing matboards, display products, and paper-based components used in custom framing, printing, packaging, and retail display industries. We combine traditional craftsmanship with modern manufacturing equipment to deliver high-quality, precision-cut products to customers across the United States.

We are expanding our production capacity and are looking for a hands-on Operations Supervisor to help lead our production floor and ensure smooth daily manufacturing operations.

Position Overview

The Operations Supervisor will oversee daily productions floor activity, production workflow, and order execution. This is a hands-on manufacturing leadership role with 80% on the production floor managing output, inventory and workorders with the other 20% of time management meetings and planning. You will work directly with production employees, machinery, and incoming orders to make sure work is completed accurately, on time, and safely. You will also work directly with management for planning purposes.

We are looking for someone from a trade or manufacturing background who understands how production really works: machines break, materials run out, and schedules change. The right person can solve problems quickly and keep operations moving. The right person is a bridge between management and day to day production.

Responsibilities

Production & Floor Management

  • Supervise daily manufacturing operations and production floor workflow
  • Assign work to production staff and monitor productivity
  • Coordinate production schedules and priorities
  • Ensure orders are completed accurately and shipped on time
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment
  • Assist with hiring, training, and coaching production employees

Order Tracking & Workflow

  • Track active jobs from order intake through completion
  • Communicate production status internally
  • Identify bottlenecks and improve workflow efficiency
  • Verify work orders, specifications, and quantities before production
  • Coordinate rush orders and production adjustments

Inventory Management

  • Monitor raw material inventory.
  • Maintain reorder levels and notify purchasing when supplies run low
  • Perform cycle counts and periodic inventory checks
  • Reduce waste and material loss
  • Organize storage areas for efficient material handling

Machinery Oversight & Troubleshooting

Operate and oversee the following equipment:

  • Gunnar computerized mat cutters
  • Guillotine cutters
  • Laminators and other sheeting equipment

Responsibilities include:

  • Basic troubleshooting and machine adjustments
  • Identifying mechanical or operational issues early
  • Performing routine maintenance checks
  • Coordinating service and repairs when necessary
  • Training staff on proper machine operation and safety

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in manufacturing, print shop, converting, framing, laminating, metal shop, packaging, or similar production environment
  • Experience supervising or leading shop floor employees
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Experience tracking jobs or work orders
  • Familiarity with inventory control
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on production environment

Work Schedule

Full-time, in person — 5 days per weekMonday – FridayMonday – Thursday 7:15am to 4:00pm; Friday 7:30am to 3:00pm. (45 minutes break paid daily break 1: 10:00am – 10:15am; break 2: 12:00pm – 12:30pm)
