The Landings Golf and Athletic Club is a private luxury residential club on Skidaway Island dedicated to providing members with an active lifestyle through resort-class amenities. Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Greets members and guests with a smile and takes care of their needs.
  • Assists building mechanics with scheduling preventative maintenance work.
  • Assists in monitoring all contractor assignment progress communication.
  • Assists with inventory purchasing and control.
  • Creates, inspects and closes work tickets.
  • Assists technicians with routine installations, repairs, construction and replacement of equipment, as needed.
  • Identifies repairs needed to plumbing fixtures, furniture, woodwork, electrical, HVAC, and creates and assigns work order for them.
  • Documents the status of building maintenance equipment to ensure it is operating safely and efficiently.
  • Assists building mechanics in completion of Safety work orders as well as closing out work orders and sending final notification.
  • Responds efficiently to any needs that arise from members, employees, or guests.
  • Provides excellent customer service while responding to building occupant needs and requests.
  • Completes incident reports, as appropriate.
  • Provides coverage for any absent building mechanic.
  • Follows and enforces safety guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • Performs daily walkthroughs or assigned clubhouses.
  • Complies with departmental grooming standards.
  • Works variety of shifts, as needed to include nights, weekends and or holidays.
  • Complies with departmental and Club policies and procedures.

Experience & Qualifications

  • A minimum of one year maintenance experience.
  • Computer knowledge a plus.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license to operate Club vehicles.
  • Flexible Team Player that can problem solve various situations as needed.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Ten years’ experience in carpentry, electrical, painting, machinery repair, plumbing or masonry preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license to drive Club vehicles.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to relate to a wide variety of people.
  • Pro-active problem solver who is both approachable and tactful.
  • Mechanical aptitude is a must.
  • Flexible Team Player that can problem solve various situations as needed.
  • Someone who works on individual assignments as well as working as a team.
  • Someone who can complete assigned tasks with thoroughness, accuracy and timeliness.
  • Someone who is safety conscious at all times.

Physical Requirements

  • Stands and walks for 95% of workday.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Stoops, crawls and kneels to complete work assignments.
  • Works both indoors and outdoors
