Their systems harness radioisotope heat to support critical missions across space, ocean, and terrestrial applications. The Job
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Engineering Analysis Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team supporting the development and deployment of Radioisotope Power Systems (RPS). This role is responsible for managing analysts across structural, thermal, and nuclear disciplines, ensuring high-quality technical output in support of mission-critical programs.
Functions
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, and oversight to a team of mechanical and nuclear analysts, ensuring high-quality, timely, and technically rigorous analysis deliverables.
  • Review and provide feedback on structural, thermal, and nuclear analysis work, maintaining strong engineering standards while balancing program schedules and priorities.
  • Manage team workload and resource allocation across multiple projects, aligning analysis priorities with program and company needs.
  • Support the professional development of team members through regular coaching, feedback, goal setting, and performance development conversations.
  • Partner closely with mechanical design, systems engineering, materials, and program management teams to ensure analysis efforts support integrated product development.
  • Serve as a technical escalation point, helping guide analysis approaches, assumptions, and modeling strategies.
  • Identify, implement, and continuously improve analysis workflows, tools, documentation practices, and knowledge-sharing across the team.
  • Communicate team progress, technical risks, and resource needs to senior leadership; represent the analysis team in cross-functional technical and programmatic discussions.
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture aligned with the company's values and engineering rigor.
  • Report directly to the Senior Engineering Manager, providing regular updates on team performance, project status, and technical risks.

Qualifications
  • B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a closely related field with a strong emphasis on engineering analysis.
  • 8+ years of professional engineering experience in mechanical, thermal, structural, or nuclear analysis.
  • 3+ years of management experience.
  • Strong foundation in engineering analysis methods, with deep expertise in at least one domain (structural, thermal, or nuclear); experience with FEA-based analysis is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with multidisciplinary analysis environments and the ability to effectively oversee work outside one's primary technical specialty.
  • Experience performing engineering work under AS9100, NQA-1, or similar quality standard.
  • Ability to identify technical risks, define bounding cases, and guide teams toward practical, defensible engineering solutions.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to lead technical efforts, mentor peers, and drive work to completion in ambiguous or evolving environments.
  • Strong planning and prioritization skills, with the ability to balance multiple projects and competing demands.
  • Interest in developing leadership skills and supporting the growth and success of others.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and proactively improving processes and team effectiveness.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts to multidisciplinary teams and senior leadership.

Additional Requirements
  • Position requires in-office presence in Seattle (South Lake Union) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, remote work is optional on Mondays and Fridays
