The Engineering Manager will lead and direct the NPD, production and mechanical engineering activities. This position will be responsible for our Forming product line of equipment, including overall product design, application parameters, manufacturing support and customer/warranty experience. You will also oversee and mentor a team of engineers, improving the productivity of the team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and improve product designs, mechanisms and adaptations of the entire product line.
  • Lead and manage NPD projects through the Stage Gate process and take completed projects into production status.
  • Coordinate design, costing, installation and debugging of customer EOD specials on a timely basis.
  • Work with Product Line Manager and Business Development team to evaluate potential new projects.
  • Coordinate efforts between Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, all company departments, vendors and customers as needed to ensure effective engineering support. Improve manufacturability and serviceability of the equipment.
  • Responsible for OSHA, USDA, CE and other safety/sanitation or government compliance issues related to new or existing slicing products.
  • Participate in Engineering and NPD design reviews.
  • Ensure production print files, bills of materials and other engineering records are current. Review ECN's, approve new drawings and revisions. Assign and monitor REA's.
  • Travel as required on projects for new and existing product line development for debugging and trouble-shooting, governmental regulation compliance and general product improvement.

  • Someone who designs, constructs and operates complex machinery and equipment used for the generation, transmission and distribution of energy on Provisur equipment and possesses a strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, concepts, practices and theories

What You’ll Need:

  • BSME with experience in mechanical engineering field or industry
  • Minimum of 7 years machine design experience and 2 years leadership experience. Design experience must include “hands on” design engineering of complex, high cycle rate machines which utilize mechanical, hydraulic, electrical / electronic and pneumatic systems.
  • Superior conceptual feel for machine design and lead designer experience on large engineering projects.
  • Familiarity with the latest 2D and 3D CAD, Creo desirable.
  • Familiarity with structuring BOM’s and Engineering change notices.
  • Thorough understanding of the tools available in the ERP system and engineering procedures.
  • Good drawing and detailing capabilities with an understanding of assembly stack up and tolerances
  • Demonstrated leadership, decision-making and team building skills.

Pay Range: The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location, and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, and certifications.
 
$116,000 - $151,000 per year. This position is eligible for a bonus incentive plan, based on company and/or individual performance.
