Job Description

Responsibilities for Mid-level Mechanical Engineer:

The successful candidate shall be able to work independently with minimal supervision from a Sr. Mechanical engineer for tasks as follows:

  • Plan, conceptualize, and create HVAC mechanical designs for new and retrofit buildings/projects in the mission critical environment
  • Duct design/piping design experience
  • Central plant cooling design
  • Perform typical HVAC engineering calculations to support design work
  • Create technical drawings, plans, and specifications (using computer software) for review by Sr. Engineer
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractors
  • Ensure project timelines are met and project stays within budget
  • Able to travel to project sites
Qualifications

Qualifications for Mechanical Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
  • EIT/PE a plus
  • 5 years (min) of experience working for a design engineering firm, Mission Critical design experience a plus
  • Firm grasp of engineering concepts including theoretical and practical applications for HVAC Systems
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly
  • Must be self-motivated and know project design steps/requirements

Salary Transparency

At Ramboll, we are committed to fair and transparent compensation practices that support our people and our purpose of creating sustainable societies. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $95,000 toย  $120,000 per year. This range reflects the compensation weย reasonablyย expect to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity. Because we operate across multiple U.S. markets, pay may differ depending on the cost of labor in specific locations. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for bonus, overtime or other forms of compensation and we offer a comprehensive benefits package that supports well-being, professional development, and work-life balance.
