We're seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join our dynamic team, specializing in semiconductor wafer polishing. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead process optimization initiatives for semiconductor wafer polishing operations
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to reduce manufacturing variation and costs
  • Design and validate new manufacturing processes and equipment configurations
  • Monitor and analyze critical process parameters (temperature, pressure, gas flow, etc.)
  • Spearhead continuous improvement projects and failure mode analysis
  • Conduct root-cause analysis to reduce manufacturing defect rates
  • Manage process documentation and maintain detailed technical records
  • Lead ingot/wafer fabrication processing initiatives
  • Control product quality through inspections and analysis verification
  • Drive manufacturing yield improvements and cost reduction initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety procedures
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to team members

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in semiconductor processing, with specific expertise in wafer polishing
  • Demonstrated success in process optimization and variation reduction
  • Strong understanding of statistical process control and data analysis
  • Experience with failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and team leadership abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment
  • Capability to lift and handle up to 25 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in relevant field
  • Experience with CMP (Chemical Mechanical Planarization)
  • Six Sigma certification
  • Programming experience with statistical analysis tools
  • Project management experience
  • Experience in mathematical modeling and process design

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Cleanroom environment requiring proper gowning (cleanroom suit, hood, and booties)
  • Use of appropriate PPE when working with specialized materials
  • Regular standing, reaching, and precise hand movements
  • Occasional requirement to stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb ladders
  • May occasionally require respirator use
  • Requires meticulous attention to detail and careful product handling
