  • Job Description

    Job Title: Maintenance A Scroll

    Reports to:Jeffery King

  • Hours: 3pm - 11:30pm (can vary)

  • Shift: 2nd
  • POSITION OBJECTIVES:

    Directly supports production by performing mechanical repairs on a variety of manufacturing equipment at the Ava scroll facility. This includes CNC mills and lathes, coolant systems, steam boilers, air compressors, robotics and PLC's.

    NATURE AND SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITES:

    Troubleshoot CNC mills and lathes

    Work closely with support staff to diagnose machinery problems and effect repairs.

    Working in confined spaces with respirator and also heights.

    Required to interact with suppliers/vendors.

    Overtime is frequently required especially on weekends, including Sundays.

    Maintaining inventory of essential machinery components and ordering as needed.

    Interpret blue prints, including electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic and PLC schematics.

    Work with engineering on special projects concerning process improvements and cost reductions.

    Completion of First Responder Training is required.

    Adhere to established work safety practices.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    Applicants should have certification and/or extensive knowledge in the following areas (in order of importance):

    CNC mill and lathe maintenance

    Electrical (theory and application) up to and including 460 V Hydraulic systems (theory and application)

    PLC (theory and application)

    Welding: ARC and TIG

    In addition, a background in maintenance in the following fields would be a plus:

    Boiler operations HVAC/R Industrial and air compressors

    Applicants will be tested for knowledge in critical areas via oral and written examinations.
