Job Description
Seeking a Mass Properties Engineer to support the development and analysis of mass properties models for launch vehicles and subsystems. This role is responsible for performing weight and balance analysis, tracking mass properties throughout the product lifecycle, and supporting engineering and program teams with technical evaluations and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain mass properties models for launch vehicles and related subsystems
  • Perform weight and balance analysis, including estimating and optimizing mass properties for launch systems
  • Establish target weights and monitor compliance throughout program development
  • Maintain mass properties accounting systems and provide trend analysis to program leadership
  • Support proposal evaluations, technical reviews, and operational documentation activities
  • Conduct component weighing, validation, and verification activities to improve estimate accuracy
  • Prepare and present technical findings during engineering and program reviews
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams and cross-functional departments to gather required information and communicate project status
  • Support continuous improvement of mass properties processes and analysis methods

Required Skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
  • Basic understanding and usage of CAD tools
