Mechanical Engineer

Troy/ Detroit OR Grand Rapids, MI

Direct Hire/ Permanent Placement

$80k – $140k ish plus ST OT, Full benefits, Flex/ Hybrid schedule - 2x/ week in office, Bonus, Profit Sharing, etc.

THE CLIENT

This particular client is a mid-sized A&E Firm (200 ppl, 50 in ME) who work on a wide variety of projects, including: Healthcare, Education, Science & Technology, Sports stadiums, Mission Critical/ Data Centers, Hi-rise/ multi-unit residential, mixed-use, etc.

OVERVIEW

The ideal Candidate will work on design and development of heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, fire protection, and temperature controls systems.

ROLE/ RESPONSIBILITIES

• HVAC design (airside, hydronic, steam) for a wide variety of multi-disciplinary project types

• Ductwork, piping, sizing, fan, pumps, air and water flow, SD, DD, CD

• Plumbing, Fire Protection and temperature control

• Equipment sizing and calculations, systems applications, Energy modeling, Ventilation requirements

• Project Management, Client interface – client presentations/ review meetings

REQUIRED/ HIGHLY PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or similar

• REVIT, AutoCAD

• 3+ yrs. of US industry experience post degree

• EIT or PE preferred, LEED and BIM a plus

• Must be eligible to work without any VISA sponsorship
