Job description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer 2 to support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to interpret engineering drawings and blueprints, and hands-on experience with CAD and engineering applications.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career mechanical engineer to work in a collaborative engineering environment and contribute to real-world mechanical design and manufacturing projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test mechanical tools, equipment, machines, and related systems.
  • Review and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Evaluate project feasibility, including estimated time, resources, and costs.
  • Investigate equipment failures and operational issues to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to troubleshoot mechanical equipment and system issues.
  • Assist drafters and other engineering team members in developing structural and mechanical designs.
  • Create and review sketches, engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated engineering reports.
  • Support engineering projects through design, testing, analysis, and implementation.
  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation and communicate technical information effectively.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 1–2+ years of relevant engineering experience; recent graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Internship experience may be considered toward the required experience.
  • Experience with CAD or other engineering design software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to create sketches and perform common engineering calculations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred Skills

  • Mechanical design and product development experience.
  • Experience with manufacturing or industrial equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and root-cause analysis experience.
