โ€ข Design and develop high-temperature molten salt vessels, furnaces, and other custom mechanical equipment. โ€ข Create mechanical designs, engineering calculations, fabrication drawings, and technical documentation. โ€ข Support equipment fabrication, testing, installation, and commissioning activities. โ€ข Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop innovative mechanical solutions for complex process systems. โ€ข Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards, DOE requirements, and industry codes. โ€ข Support engineering reviews, troubleshooting, design improvements, and continuous process optimization. Minimum Qualifications:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. โ€ข Experience with high-temperature molten salt vessels and/or furnace design. โ€ข Experience in custom equipment design and fabrication. โ€ข Knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. โ€ข Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical documentation skills.
โ€ข Must be a U.S. Citizen.
โ€ข Successful drug screening.
โ€ข Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security or clearance badge. Preferred Qualifications:
โ€ข Experience supporting Department of Energy (DOE), nuclear, national laboratory, or other highly regulated environments. โ€ข Experience designing equipment for high-temperature process, thermal, or metallurgical applications. โ€ข Proficiency with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, or similar. โ€ข Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is a plus. โ€ข Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance, if required. Location/Work Arrangement:
โ€ข Schedule is full-time, Monday โ€“ Friday 40-hour week.
