About the Role:

If this sounds like an environment you would thrive in, we have an exciting opportunity for aย Mechanical Engineer, supporting Reactor Internals.ย  You will be reporting to the Manager, Reactor Vessel Internals Load Development & Analysis. This position is hybrid in nature requiring a minimum 2 days/week on-site at the Westinghouse Global Headquarters facility in Cranberry Woods, PA in the Greater Pittsburgh Area.ย 

Relocation will not be provided for this position.ย ย 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical support for assigned work performed in the areas of reactor vessel internals design and analysis.
  • Performing analytical calculations (structural dynamic and/or thermal hydraulic) and evaluations using a variety of engineering tools and methods.ย  Develop documentation related to these calculations and analyses.
  • Development of design documentation for safety and non-safety related hardware; this includes manufacturing drawings, functional and design specifications, as well as qualification reports.
  • Interfacing with technical leads, project managers, and customers in the coordination of activities associated with assigned work scope, as required.
  • Occasionally traveling to customer and manufacturing vendor sites to provide on-site support, deliver presentations, and aid in issue resolution.
  • Willing to support occational travel to a nuclear plant

Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Capability to understand and interpret design documents including drawings and calculation summaries.
  • Capacity for conceptual design and development of design drawings

Annually Paid: We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $58,400 to $73,000 per year.
