HVAC Insulation Sr. Mechanic

Location: Central Florida

Overview

COR3 Mechanical is seeking an experienced HVAC Insulation Mechanic to support all aspects of commercial HVAC insulation work. This is a hands-on working position with growth potential to help lead and develop COR3’s newly forming insulation team.

Responsibilities
  • Install insulation for commercial HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, equipment, and related mechanical systems.
  • Measure, cut, fit, secure, seal, and finish insulation materials properly.
  • Work with duct wrap, pipe insulation, board insulation, vapor barriers, adhesives, sealants, pins, tape, and related materials.
  • Read and understand mechanical plans, specifications, and insulation requirements.
  • Coordinate with COR3 field leadership, project managers, and other trades.
  • Track material needs and assist with basic field takeoffs when needed.
  • Maintain quality workmanship, productivity, and a clean, safe work area.
  • Follow company and OSHA safety standards.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5+ years of commercial HVAC insulation experience.
  • Experience with all aspects of HVAC insulation preferred.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and project specifications.
  • Strong field installation skills and attention to detail.
  • Dependable, organized, and able to work independently.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry materials and tools.
  • Ability to work from ladders, lifts, and active construction areas.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, climb, reach, and work in various jobsite conditions.
