We currently have an immediate opening for a Mechanical Assembler located in City of Industry, California. This position is temporary with the opportunity for permanent employment.
Job Summary:
The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling the mechanical components of Astrophysics x-ray security machines. This role involves using handheld tools to fasten and connect parts, including large panels, while maintaining quality and safety standards. Assemblers work in a team, each completing specific tasks to build units that are utilized globally.
Essential Functions:
  • Assemble mechanical components of X-ray security systems in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, and manufacturing specifications
  • Utilize hand and power tools to accurately fasten, secure, drill, and align components to required tolerances
  • Install and connect large panels and structural components to ensure proper fit, alignment, and system integrity
  • Collaborate with team members on assigned assembly tasks to efficiently complete units and meet production targets
  • Inspect assembled components to ensure quality standards and safety requirements are met throughout the build process

Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 6 months to 1 year experience in mechanical assembly preferred

Shift and Schedule:
  • Full-time, M-F, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with occasional overtime and weekend shifts as needed to support business operations
