Job description

Maintenanceย Mechanic

This position consists of repairing and maintaining all production and facility equipment, new equipment installations, and maintaining established preventative maintenance programs. The qualified candidate will be a full journeyman in Machine Repair, Plant Mechanic, or Millright, must be proficient in reading mechanical prints, pneumatic schematics, and hydraulic schematics, proficient in pipe fitting skills if air, water, hydraulics, and must have good attendance record. This position will be second or third shift and may be subject to change.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain high speed production equipment.
  • Install new equipment.
  • Follow established P.M. program.
  • Machine/line troubleshooting.
  • Rebuilding equipment.

Job Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Driverโ€™s License.
  • Completion of a full apprentice program preferred.
  • Experience as a Journeyman Mechanic/Machine Repair Tradesman preferred.
  • Experience with welding and pipe fitting.
  • Proficient in reading mechanical prints and pneumatic/hydraulic schematics.
  • Ability to use all shop tools.
