Job Description – Mechanic Assistant

Semi-skilled employee who, under direct supervision, will safely assist with maintenance activities, such as perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions.


Job Duties:

  • Assist Mechanics with maintenance activities
  • Performs scheduled maintenance including changing oil, filters, checking lights, tires & greasing, replacing, or repairing light components and perform operations check
  • Clean or lubricate vehicles, machinery, equipment, instruments, tools, work areas, and other objects, using hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment.
  • Replaces worn or broken parts, aligns wheels, adjusts brakes, tightens bearings.
  • Complete work orders and other maintenance documentations
  • Perform light maintenance on lights, tires, etc
  • Perform other duties as required
