Job description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mobile Engine Test Stand 2nd shift Mechanic to support Dyno Operations with test properties.  This role involves hands-on work with a variety of Propulsion Systems including internal combustion engines, full powertrains, and electric drive motors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install internal combustion engines, full powertrains, and electric drive motors onto dyno test carts.
  • Remove and reassemble external engine components as needed.
  • Assist with catalyst aging procedures and dyno cell exhaust system development.
  • Perform basic welding and fabrication.
  • Support setup and maintenance of engine instrumentation and exhaust components.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of 1 experience with welding and metal fabrication
  • Experience with welding MIG / TIG, and metal fabrication - Minimum 1 year of experience
  • Ability to read basic prints - Minimum 1 year of experience
  • Familiarity with engine and exhaust system instrumentation - Minimum 1 year of experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with welding MIG / TIG, and metal fabrication - 3 years of experience.
  • Ability to read basic prints - 3 years of experience
  • Familiarity with engine and exhaust system instrumentation - 3 years of experience
  • State or SAE certifications a plus.
