Job description

You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST (NUCLEAR) in the Preservation Shop (Code 970), Production Resources Department Manager (Code 901), Production Resources Department (Code 900) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.Qualifications:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
  • Experience designing, scheduling, and implementing comprehensive employees' development and technical training initiatives.
  • Experience auditing shop trade theory, core tasks, and qualification records to ensure strict adherence to guidelines.
  • Experience maintaining electronic Mechanic Training Folders and updating annual course schedule databases.
  • Experience coordinating program communications and drafted Quarterly Continuing Training and Development (CTD) Assessments.
  • Experience determining the procurement, storage and use of instructional materials and textbooks, audio-visual aids, training devices, and laboratory equipment.
