Job description

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Diesel Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy machinery. This role requires a strong understanding of diesel engine repair, hydraulics, and the ability to work with OEM specifications. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely.

Duties

  • Analyze, diagnose, repair and maintain light, medium and heavy trucks, loaders, skid steers and other construction equipment
  • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections on all equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Understand operating principles of machinery.
  • Use judgement to determine repair priorities.
  • Communicate effectively with fellow employees for safety and efficiency.

Preferred Experience/Education

  • CDL Highly Preferred
  • 3 years experience and/or votech / Mechanical Training
  • Good driving record
  • Reliable and strong problem-solving skills
  • DOT Certification Preferred
