Quick Lube Technician Job Description

This position is onsite Monday – Friday (7:30am to 5:30pm) with a Saturday (8:00am to 2:00pm) rotation.

  • Perform vehicle oil changes, filter replacements, and other routine fluid services.
  • Perform tire pressure checks and adjust air pressure as needed.
  • Perform tire rotations on customer vehicles to ensure even tire wear.
  • Perform multi-point inspections to GM specifications on automotive vehicles.
  • Effectively communicate to the Quick Lube Advisors about any recommendations for additional vehicle servicing(s) based on the multi-point inspections.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to provide customers with a professional and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Must adhere to shop safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned through continued employment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
  • Test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed.  Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
  • Executing vehicle maintenance under warranty to manufacturer specifications
