Job description

  • RS/JM Mechanic Certifications + CVIP License are Required

The Opportunity:

TheJourneypersonHeavy Duty Mechanicwill report directly to the Manager, Maintenance. The primary function of this position is to address mechanical issues and conduct preventative maintenance on all components ofSanjel Energyequipment.

Seeking a Journeyperson with a current CVIP license and their own tools. Red Seal required.

General Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside a team of mechanics, prioritizing daily tasks to ensure the efficient operation within the facility; fosters a culture of dedicated Safety and teamwork
  • Perform regularly scheduled CVIP inspections, and other assigned fleet maintenance tasks and duties
  • Complete refurbishments and updates to existing Sanjel equipment
  • Gain working knowledge of Sanjel's equipment
  • Check equipment for proper performance
  • Inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions and diagnose to determine extent of repair required
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power tools
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment

Qualifications:

  • Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic Certificate (on road / off road) with Inter-provincial Red Seal
  • CurrentCVIPLicense is required, full tool kit preferred
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems and pumps, electrical skills, mechanical assembly
  • Mechanical training in the oilfield industry (field experience) an asset
  • Experience in Fleet Maintenance preferred
  • Unrestricted Class 5 driver's license and a clean driver's abstract
  • Thorough safety knowledge and practice
  • Driven and engaging team player who can offer strong problem solving skills
