Summary:
The Shop Supervisor will direct the Service Coordinator and Shop Mechanics to complete fabrication, repair, and field service projects. Organize operations, advise on staffing, and ensure projects meet schedules and budgets. Monitor manpower efficiency, compliance with customer needs, and safety policies. Collaborate on service growth goals and perform repairs, troubleshooting, and testing on pumps and rotating equipment, including field startups and programming.

Responsibilities of the Shop Supervisor, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the packaging assembly team as a working foreman.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise the daily activities of shop personnel, with a strong focus on the successful execution of fabrication projects and service jobs
  • Partner with the Production Manager and inside sales team to provide technical fabrication support for quoting and executing capital projects
  • Monitor the progress of assembly for skids/package work, working closely with the Fabrication Coordinator and Production Manager to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and with efficient use of labor hours
  • Oversee operations to ensure effective manpower utilization and adherence to customer specifications and timelines
  • Enforce and promote compliance with all company safety policies and procedures, collaborating with the Safety Coordinator to maintain a safe work environment in both shop and field activities
  • Drive productivity, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives within the fabrication shop
  • Support the Production Manager in developing and achieving long-term operational goals and service sales growth for the 529 fabrication facility
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to shop employees to ensure a high-performing team

Qualifications of the Shop Supervisor, but are not limited to:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in pump services, fabrication, or a related industrial environment
  • Prior supervisory or employee management experience required
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, manage priorities, and meet production goals
  • Solid understanding of fabrication processes, shop operations, and service workflows
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence

Additional Information:

 Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. required

 Working Conditions: Ability to stand, bend, and work in a shop environment for extended periods. Shop/fabrication environment with exposure to noise, equipment, and varying temperatures

 Shift Time/Overtime: Monday – Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM + Overtime as required

 Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred
